Apparently Jeffery wanted to see what the ice tastes like.

Why pick up another defenseman?

Injury depth. No June in WBS really has any NhL experience that's I know of that makes me feel good if people drop like flies.

You still have Engo and Despres and even Mikkelsen as depth guys. I'm ok with that.

Totally forgot about Mikkleson, 131 NHL games played is plenty. So I'm good with a Solid 4th line RW who just fits here or a solid prospect wing and a draft pick.

I know people are in love with Maatta, or it appears, after 5 periods, but Nisky's value can't be understated.

He can be plugged in as a number 4 and we don't miss a beat and our top 4 minus scuds, is fragile at times.

Not sure if their is a bigger Despres fan here but Maattta is just better than him right now.

He's a good defenseman. Top 4 on a bad team easily and worth what he's getting paid. But he's a luxury right now.

Sucks that Maatta is ineligible to play in the AHL.

I can't believe the structure we have in the neutral zone only two games into the season. Our defensive side of the puck is creating a ton of turnovers and we actually employ a breakout!!

Loving it.

Big time. I'd hate to see him regress in juniors because the competition isn't enough.
