Oh, and Malkin's a joke.
yup, he is...when he starts to put shift after shift and game after game together, i'll be sold.
As of now, he's a great talent that is messed up in the head.
When you find that a forward averages over a point a game for his career, has a Conn Smythe Trophy, a Calder, a Hart, two Art Ross Trophies, a Ted Lyndsey, and a Kharlomov Trophy I think you have to say that he's done that. Is he a bit enigmatic? Yes. But I'd like to be as good at what I do as he is and so would you.
That's nice and when he won those trophies he was on his game. Over the last few years he's been completely inconsistent, save for his 109 pt year. If we're paying a guy top dollar, I expect him to show up 100% of the time. Sure players will have bad games, but Malkin seems to have way more disappearing acts and brain farts than a Conn Smythe, Calder, Hart and Art Ross trophy winner should have. That's my point.
His faceoffs are finally over 50%, but again, a small sample size, let's see if it continues. It would be GREATLY welcomed if he's finally taken that step in that area of his game.
