I don't remember too many goals scored against us when he's on the ice for one.

He's a 3rd liner. Letang is making 7 mil. See the difference?

I love Letang so yeah...im glad hes back.

Im sure the Pens wouldnt have signed him if Shero read all the "experts" opinions on LGP.

Letang's first game of 2013, Defenses first meltdown of 2013, coincidence?

Immensely talented, not very bright. Think that sums up Letang in a nutshell.

funny how everybody on the board can see this but Shero gives him an 8 jillion year contract extension instead of looking to move him. He's never going to stop doing what he does negatively, he's never going to get better. He isn't a rookie.

Probably more of a coincidence and he's SUPER talented, but he plays so irresponsibly / I don't think he'll ever grow out of it. That contract made me sick at the time it happened. I'm sure he'll have many great games but that's just way too much for the breakdowns that come with it

Can always move him in the offseason, along with a bunch of others once the pens get eliminated again in the 1st or 2nd rd

But of course we know nothing here as fans, Lemieux and Shero said so with the signing

First game I noticed that we could have been more physical. Forwards weren't hitting and the D overall played pretty soft all over the ice.

I was reserving judgment on The Jacques Martin Effect until I saw Letang. So far it looks like it might be the "Kris Letang on IR Effect".

I thought Scuderi was brought in to provide some cover for Letang. He got back on that last goal but totally took himself out of the play going to the far boards while leaving the slot open. Not sold on his signing, especially for four years.

So no mention of Kuntitz making a pathetic attempt to knock the isle off the puck to prevent a follow up shot. That was just horrible.

I think he meant well. It wasn't for lack of effort. He was falling and stumbling.

Isles PP was 1/1. We were 0/5. We are missing 2 top 6 wingers. Backup goalie. 2 new D pairings. 2 spare parts on line 3. Somewhat meaningless regular season game. Not the end of the world.

That was Letangs guy. He double teamed the defender that was already covered which left Kunitz on an island.

I mean, no offense but I kind of agree with Pens. We all understand that in general gm's and scouts know 999999 more than us, but that doesn't mean we can't disagree with them..... I've always hated "oooo, Mr. Expert knows more than ____". Despite their knowledge its not like we can't think they may have made a mistake

If Orpik had been where Maatta was you would be crucifying him. I don't care if you go after Orpik everyday, at least be consistent.
