So does Letang want to be down 1-0 because he tried hard to make that happen with under 30 seconds to go.

An entertaining first period. Let's convert a few of those chances in the second.

Will Dan ever try it get Crosby away from chara? Will he even try it once?

Kudos to the organist playing "Time Warp" from Rocky Horror.

Megna seems to be the best source of bad puns since Carl Sneep.

I think Megna is the type of player Geno has been missing on his line. He may not crash as much as Kunitz, but his speed will open up things for Geno.

Sid's line is all over Chara. They're wearing him down something fierce.

I don't see why you would change it, especially since Chara knocks Malkin off his game too easily.

Ask Ohio State and Michigan. Or the Steelers and the Ravens. Or the USMNT and Mexico (soccer). You don't have to play a team every other game for there to be a rivalry.

I should have said, 2 out of 82 games. Two out of 16 is very different.

Pens played the Bruins in 4 of 15 games in the season that matters most. Just because you may not have any special feelings about the Bruins doesn't mean the Pens dont. They are obviously revved for this game.

Let's pretend Megna continues to gel with Malkin.

Megna-Malkin-Neal
Bennett-Sutter-Jokinen

3 of these 4 wingers could be swapped in and out of lines 2 and 3 depending on how they are playing...such as...

Out played Boston. Deserve to be winning. Boston looks slow compared to Pittsburgh, which is how it should look because they are. Far better scoring chances so far. Malkin needs to bury at least one of those. Boston has nothing but shots from the point with a guy in front unless you do something stupid and give them scoring chances. They simply lack the talent level to create chances that aren't given to them. They do have enough talent to capitalize on given chances though. Just keep playing this way and eventually one will go in.

its the lack of goal scoring in the ECF from last year making it seem like that for everyone

This is a really good game. I agree that Megna continues to look good, but also agree with those saying it's way too early to pencil him in as a wing on Malkin's line going forward indefinitely.

I'm pretty sure Boychuk didn't get a single point in 10 games with Malkin. He just missed a bunch of chances and half the board jumped on his bandwagon. Megna gets 2 in his 2nd game and looks to be a force against the FORCE FIELD. But it's not just results. Megna looks like he's been in the league 10 years, the way he's slipping through defense, reading plays, and doing the little things that make all the difference.

Iginla couldn't figure out how to play with Malkin after 30 games. Megna looks to be there in 2.

True, but I think Megna is overall a much better player. He has a shooter's mentality, but also has consistently crashed the net. He's also gotten to those soft areas and generated multiple chances in the past two games.
