I'm concerned he's been starting too much. The Olympic break couldn't come at a better time.

Unless he become a playoff stud, I am concerned with the Scuds contract.

He's been sick. Can't wait to see what he can do for team USA and for the pens in the playoffs of course lol. But I think he's our #1D going forward

Shero went chasing history on that contract.

He's got the most complete game. Solid in all three zones.

$3.375 for a steady, everynight defensive defenseman isn't that bad. $7.25 for a ....well, nevermind.

If come playoff team, scuds settles that back 6 down a bit, and stops the turnover machine they turned into - even if it's with avg play... it'll be worth it.

Did Dan say how many of those Olympic practices will be optional?

a) He's been hurt already this year, so he's not an everynight defenseman;
b) he's signed for 3 more years after this one.

Very few players go uninjured all the time. That's not what "everynight" means, and you know it. He's not a guy who goes to the press box...a la a Bortuzzo or a Engellend.

Having a contract and a reputation helps with keeping from going to the press box.

I wish we were playing so hard and on the edge that we were forcing the Senators to speak with the refs after every whistle.

Scuds is one of those players you don't appreciate until he's gone and you're in the playoffs and the other team is lighting the lamp unimpededly.

Lots of frustration out there tonight. They need to bury a one on Anderson with all of these chances and force Ottawa out of their shell.

Niskanen's worst game in some time.

Where's our captain while this is going on? Been noticing that as we'll.

I seem to remember a lot of complaining about Scuds, years ago.

I am a big niskanen fan, and I agree that he has not been very good tonight. Actually he wasn't great last game either.

Was in Phoenix, can confirm Niskasnen did not look good on Saturday. Then again, everyone looked hung over except Geno against the Coyotes. This team looks.... Bored?

I'm guessing we will have to kill a couple power plays this period seeing as the Sens have none yet.
