Hopefully they don't look at the egregiousness of the embellishments when determining whether or not to suspend someone.

First of all, Neal has been horrible with these diving calls.... BUT, the reason you see these things is because the refs have put away the whistles lately. If I would have told you that Craig Adams would be diving on the ice to draw a penalty you would have called me crazy, but that is exactly what has been going. The refs need to get back to calling penalties again.

What relevance does it have to whether or not Neal has deserved his penalties?

Josh Yohe tweeted he talked to an NHL official. Neal will not be suspended.

Adams has been turning his back at the last second to draw boarding calls for years. He doesn't need this sort of motivation for being turdy.

Has anyone ever gotten a suspension or fine for diving or is it a idol NHL threat. It is something you wish you wouldn't see in a game.... unless its the Pens and the ref actually buys it.

Being that no one even brought it up, nothi was going to happen. Yohe apparrently pulled a rossi. Brought up a potential problem, disproved t as an actual problem.

According to the rule, he should be suspended for one game pending a call. IMO, thats what a quality beat writer does... Demonstrates an understanding of a rule that, if enforced, would affect the Pens. What if they had scheduled the call and the beat writers missed it? Better? Worse?

That a much more obvious embellishment wasn't even called as such, yet Neal is coming under criticism from the NHL. Just a lack of consistency from one game to the next.

Given the history of application of the rule it was pretty sensationalized. Literally every other member of the media ignored the non story.

Since we're talking about consistency, I've watched Neal consistently embellish plays. Has Carter consistently done it? Probably not, but I don't know as I haven't watched many Kings games... that's probably why that one play has nothing to do with this discussion.

Yohe wasn't alone in thinking this. Grover and the old 29er discussed it post game.

Get the fighting out of the game, and use it for chasing the ref to his car after the game--- and we'll be soccer soon!
