If Crosby, Geno, Letang, and Fleury are going to play up to their level and get bottom six support every night then the Pens are going to be a difficult out for anyone.

So tomorrow we dress Glass for Adams or Vitale and have him just hit everything that moves, especially early on.

Glad that they're playing again tomorrow night. Tonight's lose has got to make the Rangers feeling more weary on their flight home.

That stat is amazing.

It is a fascinating and almost improbable stat. Either way, I hope it stays at 0-14 and the Rangers never lead again in this series.

One of the biggest things I noticed is how we hit someone almost EVERY shift. Where was that in game 1? We need to wear them down and we did but just wish we would always hit like that.

A three-man RHS cycle job a couple times late, really excited to see that. They did a great job...Rangers play a lot of man defense, so if you're Gibbons, Kevin Klein can't catch you...if you're Joe Vitale, Dan Girardi can't catch you...especially when you have the lead and they don't get the forward support down there...great job by our bottom line guys, getting to our cycle game...

Crosby was the leading purveyor of awesomeness tonight...everyone chipping in defensively...most complete effort I've seen this year easily...played all 60 of the minutes, didn't get down on ourselves with early penalties, killed them off real nice...Fleury didn't allow a lot of second chances...he did a fine job...

What an exciting win for this group...

Looking back, the Pens PK kept us in the game early. That was huge.

I like Brian Engblom. Good, honest commentary. Tired of hearing "Matty" Niskanen from Pee Aire.

There was a game against the Capitals earlier this year that was close to this one, but yeah it's hard to find anything to complain about tonight. They played a great 60 minutes.

Agreed. He focuses on the game, not the drama or leadership crap. Ever notice how many times in each game Pierre talks about embellishment and diving? He creates these storylines. "The Flyers bench is letting Nash know what they think of how easily he went down on that play..."

Tonight's game wasn't a clash of two teams at their best. Don't expect the Pens to be able to handle everyone like this.

The key this game was that the Pens didn't let up against a tired team and--perhaps more importantly--remained restrained by avoiding recklessness. This game was a test of focus IMO.

Lundqvist didn't play one period of these playoffs. Just to be technical...

And yes, Engblom, is a quality guy...he's really improved a lot over the last few years...he does good work...but he does talk a lot, but he has a lot of good stuff to say, so that's not a big deal to me...

As mentioned above, there is a reward for finishing a series quickly. You get rest. The Rangers lost game 6 when they had a chance to put the series away. They would have been plenty rested. If we had gone 7 games with CBJ we would be facing the same issue. We got the extra day or so thanks to finishing up in six. This is happening in the NBA playoffs as well, and those starters play a lot more minutes per game than NHL players.
