All the stars are lining up for another playoff meltdown and for Babcock to join Sid in Toronto for 15-16. :p Sid only demands being traded after enraged fans burn down his house. Unfortunately for the Pens, Kessel is found dead from an overdose of some kind in a shady motel room before the start of the season. The draft pick turns into a player who is never allowed to leave Russia after the next cold war begins a few days after he's drafted.

I'll leave that to the new GM as that's his or her ( :pop: ) job. If he is kept on that's fine with me as I'm not presumptuous enough to believe that I know how to run a NHL hockey team.

It's actually not that difficult. I am among those here who have presided over countless EA Sports dynasties over the years. Basically, the Pens just need to trade their vets for rookies with potential and sim away. You might have to intervene in the playoffs, but Mario should be able to handle that.

Plus the on/off button is a built in time machine. If you don't win the game, turn off, turn on, and re-sim until you win. When are we re-running game 7 against the Rangers btw?

This is a shame, as Mike Babcock would be the one thing that could get me excited about Pens hockey again. I think we are in for a dark next few seasons the way this circus is going.

I have no desire to have Mike Babcock coach this team. Let him lead the aging, sinking, Red Wings ship.

I'm not a Babcok fan. He's probably a top tier coach, but I just don't like him. The 24/7 documentary/reality show they did leading up to the Winter Classic didn't endear him to me at all.

What about hologram Mike Babcock? He would be half of the price of the real one and we wouldn't have to pry him from Detroit.

They're younger than they've been in ages. This past year, Grand Rapids Griffins held that team together more than people think.

Boy the grass is always greener on the other side, isn't it?

Babcock is a better coach than HCDB. So what? He's won 0 cups in the same time HCDB has won 0.

Madden is an irresponsible rabble-rouser and tosses stuff like this out there carelessly.

There are several NHL top-level coaches out of jobs at the moment, and any of them are more likely replacements than Babcock from Detroit. And less hassle too.

We might as well sign hologram Gretzky, hologram Mario and hologram Roy while we're at it.
