:thumb: I think his firing was a mistake. His biggesr sin was sticking up for Disco DB after last year. He should have also fired him after the Philly debacle. I guess I see the dismissal. But some of the quotes from Mario defending Bylsma completely baffle me.

He will go to Washington and kill this club. Horrible firing

In the Crosby era, Shero's firing is in my opinion the worse decision i've seen from this organization. this will come back to haunt the penguins big time in my opinion. hopefully i'm wrong.

GMRS~ you are the only good thing to come out Philadelphia. ;)
You brought class and stability for a few years to the penguin mgmt team.

All the best~

I was always a fan of Shero, but it seems his judgment over the past few years was becoming questionable. Exhibit A was the Bylsma extension on the heels of the ECF embarrassment, which was a full year after the Philly meltdown; then the Letang contract. The team he iced this season was almost the polar opposite of what we had come to expect from him in terms of grit, sandpaper. The Scuderi signing, given the style of play Bylsma prefers, also was pretty suspect.

Cheers for his dedication to the team and his efforts, even though it didn't work out in the longer term and best of luck to him elsewhere.

Shero is a class act all the way, and I think he’s going to make some team very happy--hopefully, not one of our chief competitors. I wish him all the best.
