You put your Despres in,
You take your Dumoulin out,
You put your Samuelsson in,
And you shop Letang about.
You put your Paul with Olli
and Bort with Pouliot.
Scuderi gets bought out!

I forgot to ask about Derrick Pouliot. I think he has a history with coach

Isn't Letang exactly the kind of defenseman that fit's Johnson's description of what he wants his defesenman to do with the puck, ie skate it out as far as possible?

I don't know how much of a shot Samuelsson will be given. I've heard 3 different quotes, 2 from Rutherford and 1 from Botterill, and each time they mention Despres, Harrington, and Dumoulin as the guys who they want to get in the lineup. Sounds like Samuelsson may stay in WBS unless needed due to injury.

Seems about right, but since Sammy isn't waiver eligible, they may bring him up to be the 7th defenseman. See what you have before you risk losing him for nothing. If he performs well, you can flip him for a pick. Really well, and you keep him. Poorly, and he will probably pass waivers, and if not, you at least gave it a shot.

You can put a player who isn't waiver eligible in the minors without having to clear waivers, as long as you do so before a certain date between the last preseason game and 1st regular season game.
