I've said a few times Florida overpaid for him when they signed him as UFA. He went from 770K with Nashville to 1.7M with Florida, with no real change in his play, stats, etc. He just happened to be signed by FL the year they went on a spending spree (Fleischmann, Upshall, etc) to get to the cap floor.
His real value was probably between 1.2-1.5M, so nice to see us get him on the lower end.
