Well, it's dated for today. I suspect that means he's taking over for Dejan Kovacevic.

Awesome. Felt bad for a second, then read more of his farewell letter then felt better again. Good riddance.

Oh...so he got Dejan's job.

That's not an improvement.

I like it. I don't follow the Pirates and I'm out of the market for local Steelers coverage. I know Rossi as they guy that makes stuff up, reports on it, gets everyone here in a tizzy, then hides when its exposed as completely inaccurate. If he's spending his time having to look at the rest of the sports there is less of a chance I'll deal with that ripple effect during the Pens season.

So is DK nuts to leave that job for murky waters? I don't think I'd have the gusto to do it.

I'd be absolutely shocked if DK's site becomes successful. That being said, I don't wish ill will on anyone, so best of luck.

Sounds like teams aren't restricting his coverage at all and his sponsorship is taking care of all the overhead. That's about as sweet a gig as it gets.

He literally needs like 5,000 people in the whole city to subscribe to make a very nice profit. He's crunched the numbers. It's not as big of a risk as some would think.

Will you be subscribing? Will anyone here? I wish him luck too but is his "voice" unique enough to compel people to pay to hear it?

I'll subscribe.

For those questioning its viability, remember that Eklund exists, but without corporate sponsorship, full credentials from teams, and 30 years of experience. So DK has got that going for him.
