TSN is Canadian. Benn is Canadian. Malkin is Russian.

Coverage from TSN is so strange. I know it's the Canadian ESPN, but it's funny how they blatantly go out of their way to disregard the American franchises. Not that American media doesn't have a bias towards American franchises either, but the amount of content poured into the seven Canadian teams is hilarious. I love it because they never stop talking hockey and hate it because I wish the Penguins were covered/talked about that much.

Oh no doubt. I should have been more specific in that I meant how much airtime the talking heads give the Canadian teams. I feel like the Canucks, Habs, and Leafs get a ton of coverage on NHL Network or NBC Sports intermission report-type stuff (it just so happens the other Canadian teams are dumpster fires!)

The actual airing of games makes a ton of sense since the networks don't cross borders.

Yeah, I didn't mean to really stomp on your point. Though, I guess in how short my response was, it probably feels that way. It was more an indication about what you said there. NBC does American stuff because no one in America knows what or who Edmonton is...

CBC is obviously Canadian-first, but ScotiaBank Hockey Tonight and Hot Stove and everything, they cover American teams fine...obviously, both CBC and TSN focus on the Leafs first, Canadian teams second and American teams third...but that should be expected...

Oh man, Benn won so the webmasters apparently "vetoed" the vote and are doing it again. That's funny.

They probably noticed huge amounts of votes coming from particular ip addresses and figured out, correctly, that a small group (Benn's hometown) was swaying the vote by continuously voting.

I think they probably noticed that a top 20 player beat a top 3 player and gave their readers a chance to not look like idiots.

If they veto it they might as well just declare Geno the winner. If I weren't biased I'd be inclined to vote for Benn more than ever now.

And, apparently they still vetoed it:
The fans have spoken on the latest match-up, with Jamie Benn edging Evgeni Malkin 50.3 per cent to 49.7 per cent.
But not so fast. The Quizmaster has cashed in on his single first-round veto, meaning Malkin moves on.

They emphasize that there is a single first round veto, but they used a veto twice for the same matchup.

Get back to me when Benn wins the Conn Smythe, or maybe even when they include his name on the Cup.
