Pens at Preds, a 5-4 shootout loss

Something good: Like Matt Murray, the night before, Tristan Jarry did his best to keep the Pens in the game. That .857 save percentage doesn't look good and he might want the Jarnkrok goal back (even though Cole screened him), but there was more good than bad.

Where they need improvement: Coming off a game where they put Washington on the power play six times, you'd think there would be a focus on staying out of the box. You'd be wrong. Two more PPGs against on six chances. Playing shorthanded that much won't help you win.

Something good: They fought out of a 3-1 hole to salvage a point on the road. In the back half of a back-to-back. Against a rested opponent. I'll take it.
