Pens vs Caps, a 7-4 win

Something good: The Pens' power play is ridiculous. 3 for 4 with 7 shots in just 5:12. That can't be real, right? Add in a perfect 3 for 3 from the penalty kill and it was an exceptional night for the special teams.

Where they need improvement: You can't really improve on this, but the low point of the night was clearly the loss of Patric Hornqvist. He's not traveling to NJ, but hopefully it's not much worse than that. Who gets recalled for tonight? Sprong would be the popular choice but as nafsnep pointed out in Twitter, Zach Aston-Reese has 20 points in his last 20 games. We'll see. Not sure if Ruhwedel or Hunwick are ready, but if so, I guess going 7D is an option, but I'm not a big fan of that.

Something good: As rare as it is to get 3 PPGs in a game, getting 4 even strength goals is even more unlikely, at least the way it was going for this team earlier. Great to see that part of their game coming around.
