Before anyone else **** all over the brassard trade let’s get Sheary off his wing and literally try anyone else. He is killing that line, swap him and Rust at least or better yet him and Hags and give Malkin another pylon to skate around.

Look we would have lost this game with or w/o number 75. But at the end of the second, it was getting a bit frisky out there.

BTW, a recurring theme all year was: "We won two cups w/o number 75." We also won two cups w/o 22, 15, 19, 6.

Maybe, maybe not. But I'd feel a bit better going into the 3rd with him on our side. I could be wrong, but I think Boston will take no prisoners. Who knows, maybe the B's will just go for a leisurely skate in the 3rd.

5 October 2017.

Did we dress Reaves?

Relevance to tonight?

Lost a bad one to the Hawks then, looked awful. This loss isn't down to trades. Hate to say this, but we've been shaky at the back for a while, even when we were winning games.

Something's wrong with Kessel. Not like him to whiff on that kind of play.

It’s just a team chemistry thing. He was great in the room and that stuff matters.

you can't explain that to some people, if watching this game isn't enough evidence for both Reaves and Cole to still be here, but, sully didn't like them.

Reaves hasn't even been playing the last few games before he was traded. Pens won 2 straight cups without an enforcer. If this team suddenly forgot how to win games bc a healthy scratch is gone then... well...

OK, I was being a bit facetious there. But we definitely gave up quite a lot in the way of grit as well as just good defensive play. It's no coincidence that bringing Cole back into the lineup corresponded with the January - February surge, when they were beating everyone in sight, and that since trading him, they are 1-3. Not 0-3. Reaves didn't always play, but he's a solid player and physical presence and would have been useful in a game like this one. We'll just see how much damage Boston decides to inflict in the waning minutes of this mess. Oleksiak now is the only Pen who could match up with Chara in sheer size and strength and the only really physical player at all.

Maatta scored. That's nice.

Can we switch to the Sharks-Hawks pregame now?

The best thing about that goal was that it was all skill and not at all luck.

Can we maybe at least outscore them in one period? That'd be nice.

Yes but the point is the Pens won without a player like 75, a guy who could fight and throw hits and that's about it.

Can the Bruins convince Rick Nash to change his name to Rick Trash to be more accurate and cause less confusion with Riley Nash?
