This is what happens when you hit 30+, have no life, and there's nothing on TV (Blackhawks-Flyers counts as "nothing").

Stoosh-
Your pumpkin carving skills are impressive. The Penguins pumpkin looks good as my desktop background today. We all expect you to carve something into a turkey in a few weeks now.

Very nice work! That's some talent and patience to get that logo right.

Everyone is free to use those as you see fit. :) I've got the Pens one up as the background on my computer here at work now, too.

For as much as I get into Halloween every year, this is the first time I've carved pumpkins in probably 10 or 15 years. I started these at around 8:00 last night and by 10:00, I was done. The Pens one was done from scratch...no pattern or anything. I printed the Pens logo off of Chris Creamer's logo website and used that for reference, along with my Crosby jersey. But I didn't trace the logo or anything.

I'll get some more pics tonight when we put them out on the porch. I may put two candles in the Pens one to help illuminate it a little bit better, although the dimmer light doesn't exactly look bad.

Excellent job Stoosh.

I hope you're not poking fun at the Peanuts episode. That is a classic. I'll have to pound you you blockhead.

This is an HOMAGE to the the Charlie Brown special - the wife and I watched it this past weekend when it was on. I've always been a big fan of the older cartoons.

It's good to know I'm not the only one. :D

It's not quite finished yet, I'm still working on the triangle. (This picture is before I started on that part.)

Spoon can attest to my artistic prowess going back to high school. I haven't drawn anything in a long time, but I got interested in drawing/sketching as a kid because my cousin makes a living as a pen-and-ink artist. He started out doing a lot of historical landmarks, buildings, etc...he's since been commissioned and licensed by the NFL, NHL, Nascar, MLB and the PGA. He did some work just this past year for the 84 Lumber Classic. He's got commissioned pieces going up for the NFL and the NFL Alumni. It's pretty cool stuff, actually.

Wallflower, that looks really cool. I like the outline...is that cut all the way through? I had a hell of a time getting the outline around the top of the logo and around the stick blade.

I was going to do a #87, but I thought the logo was a better challenge. It's probably a little bit too intricate to do with the size pumpkin that I had.

I like Rasbatch's too...that's actually the logo I was going to try at first because I figured it would be easier to carve out.

Final product. :) (I had a hard time finding a place dark enough to take the picture.)

Thanks. :) It's cut most of the way through for the outline; I had to cut into it at an angle (basically, like a 'v') - the pumpkin was so thick that there was no way I would've ever been able to cut through for the whole thing even if I had wanted to do so.

Very creative people we have here on this board. :D
