Playoff seeding / home ice question

Postby Stillerz Bar on Thu Mar 15, 2018 1:22 pm

How is home ice decided when a team finishes higher in their division but with less points. As an example, the winner of the Metro will likely have less points than the # 2 team in the Atlantic (and maybe even the # 3 team there). If they were to meet in the conference finals, who would have home ice. Further to that, if the # 2 team in the Metro played the # 3 team in the Atlantic who had more points, who gets home ice?

Confrence finals comes down to total points. Your interdivision seeding doesn't play apart. Same with SCF, it comes down to your total points.
