Pens at Caps, a 4-1 loss

Something good: Matt Murray was the main reason the Pens were even in this one. He faced 20 shots and the only goals he gave up were a patented Alex Ovechkin wrister off a textbook feed from Patric Hornqvist and a power play goal to Jakub Vrana moments after he was blatantly interfered with. The lesson learned here if you're Murray is this: don't do the right thing and battle through the BS to try and make a play. The next time someone takes out your skate, just go down.

Where they need improvement: That opening period was a disaster. Again. As mentioned above, 20 shots against is way too much.

Something good: They responded in the second, out-shooting Washington 16-6. Trouble is, they were only able to get one goal out of it that counted.
