Shoulder right to the side of the head sherlock. ZAR BLEEEDING FROM THE HEAD. How do you bleed from the head from a clean hit?

People like you are ones running this league and why crap this and garbage players/people like Tom Wilson can play in the league.

Here's how you bleed on a clean hit, ZAR is 6 foot, when you bend your knees to make a hockey move you become smaller. When Tom Wilson who is 6 foot 4 doesn't bend down hits ZAR it can cause injury.

Though, with this logic, why aren't there a hundred hits like this a game? Considering dudes are bending their knees making hockey plays all game, one would expect bigger guys to be smoking smaller guys in the head constantly then right?

Not necessarily there are guys in the game now as there always has been who toe the line between clean and dirty hits. Matt Cooke comes to mind, not a huge guy but would always finish his hits. Matt Cooke ended Marc Savards career with a dirty, not because he was a heavy weight like Tom Wilson but because he made a dirty play. I think the Dumoulin hit was a dirty hit and a suspension was warranted. The NHL not acting there allowed him to continue to toe the line with ZAR, which I don't think was dirty. The NHL needs to stop blurring the line, if you want to clean up the game then eliminate all hits to the head period. Don't guess on what's a hockey play and what's not.

ZAR has broken jaw and a concussion thanks to a piece of **** player that shouldn't have even been dressed for the game.

Way to go NHL!!!! George Parros will just say there was no intent and it was shoulder to shoulder. No problem.

I wonder what matt cooke is up to these days. Sign him for one game, take out Wilson's knees or give a matt cooke head shot and ride off into the sunset..

I miss the days when Shanahan was laying the hammer on players that went head hunting. No balls in the DoPS anymore.

They showed that jagoff smiling on the bench after the hit. NHL player safety, the game is too fast for this group of refs.
I hope none of us are jumping off of the parade route. You stick with this team.

Here's the thing though, the NHL DOPS serves at the discretion of the teams. When will the owners step up and say our players are getting injured, this isn't in the best interest of the game. The Tom Wilson's of the world aren't going to get us lucrative ESPN tv deals. Again the league owners renew the contracts of Gary and his clowns so if there is anyone to blame you can start there.

Coach Sullivan has to get that focus off of Wilson. He is not the one to beat us. Don't make him bigger than he is.

The series has been a nightmare. You have a 2 time cup winner looking to do something that hasn't been done since the 80s and the NHL has blown a clear goal call and has seen them show a reluctance to eradicate head shots. All for what? Parity? To say that any team has a chance to win regardless of your teams talent?

I don't want anyone touching Tom Wilson, he is never going to learnm. Instead you blow out Backstrom's knee so he never skates again, and while they carry him off the ice you tell hik to thank Tom w
Wilson.

No maybe not but he is taking out a player every game! I say take out Carlson and take the one game suspension, without him they will fall apart.

Any form of admission toward the degraded health of players is very bad for the owners. Thus, you have a league that continues to allow these absurd hits.

BTW, on the game winner, Maata gets tripped by Wilson, who shouldn't have been in the game anymore anyways.

Everything about Wilson is reckless. I see that, however, through the lenses of black n gold glasses. BTW, are there any spelling or grammar errors in the last sentence? Don't want to be chastised.

Yup. A win here would have given us the momentum. Now they have every advantage.

Game to game momentum doesn't exist. If Pens play great Thursday they win, if not, they could lose again. Caps winning tonight isn't going to effect anything that happens next game.

Game to game momentum certainly can exist, whether it's reg or playoff season. Don't think the Caps had some game to game momentum going when they took 4 straight from Columbus? Avs winning 10 in a row this season? Pens 15 game streak in 2013? You get on a roll as team with loads of confidence and yes, it can definitely carry over to the next game.

Caps have to be feeling more confident and inspired after mounting a comeback last night in the 3rd, on the road, and winning. So much is mental and team parity is close enough to where it comes down to playing with supreme confidence and not uneasiness or fear.

He is not. The problem lies with the Pens’ lack of quality shots. While U cannot pin one Pens goal on Holtby, the same cannot be said for Murray, as the Niskanen goal was an absolute, inexcusable killer.
