Antonio wrote:Worst caps team in years and they could possibly win it all. Makes me sick. Frankly, it does really look like the whole thing was rigged considering this entire outcome if Washington wins is a picture perfect outcome for the NHL.

Worst set of players they've had. Best team they've had, though.

Watching them in their own zone against Vegas late in games where they have the lead has been something to watch. Basically, Vegas gets the puck into the zone and it's right back out. Even Ovi is blocking shots.

Don't see how you can think it's rigged. Calls have been about even. Sure, I'd like to see it called tighter, but I think it's been pretty evenly called.

If Vegas can win game 4, I think they take the series.

Vegas doesn't look anything like the giant slayer the've been all season and the bad version of MAF has reared his ugly head. :(

Can anybody point me in the direction of stats by series? I'm curious what the total number of shots and high quality scoring chances are in the finals. I feel like Vegas will be leading in both.

Fleury hasn't been as good in this series as he was in the first 3, but neither has his team. Vegas has coughed up the puck in front of him, missed defensive assignments, and failed to generate any offense. Their first line can't even hit open nets. They aren't getting any bounces. :face:

I hope they can win Game 5.

Hard to fault Fleury, a lot of goals are coming on 2nd or 3rd chances or plays where its just him vs the puck carrier.

Still pulling for MAF and the VGK!!!

Man hockey is a really long season when your team isn’t in it !
End it already and let’s bring on the off season. Draft, trades, July 1st!

Seriously! :o

Can't wait for DC to be awarded their SCF bonus of playing 21 back to back games next year.
I'm having a problem letting that go....................

Agreed. Flower is far from the issue. The team in front of him has wilted a bit. Hopefully they aren't letting the pressure finally get to them...need to go back to embracing 'playing with house money' mantra and just play the game.

Washington has lost 5 of 12 playoff series that they've been up 3 games to 1. Just sayin. That is not a good winning percentage with that type of advantage.

BTW, I've developed a pretty significant hate for T.J. Oshie. I can't stand that pink faced puss.

My hatred doesn't stop with Oshie but he's a good start. That being said Oshie is diving his way to the Cup. The Sedins will be proud. He's able to do something they couldn't.

Oh, I hear you there. He is a punk. There's a whole cast of punks on that team:
  • Tom Wilson - I really want Reaves to cave in his face.
  • Oshie
  • Kuznetsof
  • Niskanen and Orpik are up there as well.

Penny, you said it all. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Not only did the Pens win back-to-back Cups and endure that marathon, but they had to put up with the deliberate (I really think they were targeted by the NHL) back-to-back scheduling grind. That was not an accident.

God, I hate the willful stupidity of the NHL management. :slug: :slug: :slug: :slug:
