Phil and Stella

Postby djlm on Tue Jul 03, 2018 7:06 pm

A little bit on Phil and his dog Stella on Tyler Bozak's "the players tribune" article: https://www.theplayerstribune.com/en-us ... -leafs-nhl

"Some nights I’d be in another room in our place and I’d hear Phil’s voice.
“No, no, I just didn’t play well tonight. Yeah, I dunno really …”
I’d walk into the room, and he’d be in mid-conversation with Stella."

That's just as Phil as Phil can get IMHO.

I need to get a dog cause I get crazy looks when people see me talking to myself. I can see now if I get a dog I would seem like a great guy.

I'm the same way with my Shepherd. She's a good listener and has yet to give bad advice. :D

Its when your dog starts talking back that you need to find a new friend... or a psychiatrist.

Praise be. Any Phil story other than media driven hype is a welcome one. Player tribute has a lot of good ones. Cullen, Rutherford, and Mike Langes articles come to mind.
