Is it because it’s a late game or that it’s its a blow out with nothing to complain about keeping the page count low?

Flames could easily have 5 or 6. Murray has been very good.

Absolutely. As good or even better than the Leafs game last week.

I really hope this is the new normal for Letang because he’s slowly building a Norris caliber season right now.

Flames goalies can’t even stop a grown man from getting past them into the net.

All the good chances they had, the Flames finally score on a flubbed shot.

First goal back and he doesn't even get to celebrate.

How long has it been since we potted 9?

Literally the worst glove hand in nhl history. That might be the ugliest goal I've ever seen in 30 plus years. On any other night, we'd be having a collective aneurysm, but no one cares with 9 on the board. Great game regardless. Even jj scored but still couldn't be a plus.

I freely admit to being shocked at how good he's been. I mean, I wanted him sold to Eastern European human traffickers for 5 Euros in the off season. He's been really solid for 10 percent of the season now.

He was absolutely stellar for 58 minutes. Feel bad he gets beat on a flubbed shot. This could have easily been a competitive game if he wasn't so good tonight.

It’s funny, any of the 5 or 6 really great chances he saves that could have gone in would have been acceptable but that one shot high glove that ends up in the net, that’s pretty bad.

Yes it was flubbed but most goalies would have made a save there.

Crosby has yet to score on the forehand. Two backhands and a deflection.

He could be the only guy to get to 50 without a forehander.

I guess the secret to Johnson not hurting you is to play him the least amount of minutes 5v5 of any D and basically only let him line up on neutral zone draws. (He had 2 defensive zone starts all night). Why the sudden change in his deployment?

9-1 is nice but we are still extremely leaky defensively. Murray saved us quite a few times tonight. Tons of breakdowns and zone jumping. Baby steps I guess.

Get a load of Captain Hyperbole over here.

That was an awesome game, nice to see a thorough pounding of an opponent for once.

Seriously, an 8 goal win and there is still complaining at the end. I can understand b*tching when the game is still in question but after an easy win can't we just enjoy it. It's unlikely we will have many if any more 8 goal wins so I'll just savor it until the next game.

Wait, the entire team let down for the entire third period and made Murray the prime target in a shooting gallery, and you're saying that most goalies would have made the save on the one that he did let in - a fluky one at that?

What's your standard for a goalie?

The goal was a fluke. It was a like a changeup in baseball. Murray said after the game that he stabbed too quickly at it. His exact quote to Chris Bradford:
I was just looking to play it quick and I just got ahead of it.

Hey it’s nice but you can’t sit there and say we limited their chances. We gave up a lot of good chances and played keystone cops in our zone quite a bit. It’s the coach in me, I’m always looking to be better. We aren’t going to score 9 goals every game so it was fun to watch but I still see issues and want them fixed.

I was merely pointing out the irony of it all. It was a fluke goal that happened to be high glove. He was stellar all night. I feel bad for him he didn't get the S. O. as he deserved it. Final score could have easily been 9-6.
