Can't believe I'm saying this but the best course of action for the organization might just be to write this season off. Try for Hughes, trade some assets, and retool for the last three years or so of Sid and Geno. This is a horrible team right now. They are lucky to have the amount of points that they do.

At some point, tanking the first half of the season will catch up to this franchise. Maybe it is this year, maybe next. But, at some point, fingers need to be pointed at those who are on this team doing it year in & year out. Let’s just hope that IF this year becomes a lost cause, management doesn’t make *** trades to salvage that which is unsalvageable.

Look there is something seriously wrong here....I have said they are tuning out the coach in the past only to be swatted here with comments saying I am nuts. They are playing to get him fired, believe me. Do you really think they would admit this to the media? Of course not. They have completely tuned him out seeing what lines he has been making with the injuries. Playing Sprong only because we have no healthy bodies left. Insinuating Simon is a top 6 forward and putting him and Rust with Crosby. They are tired of his message and yelling. Recchi is not the answer either. If the loses continue look for either J Martin to take over or maybe Quinville coming in. The top players all of a sudden didn't lose their skills and all of a sudden went to mush, well maybe Murray but I digress. I am sorry I am saying this but I look at hey you have to try anything to shake them up before putting up the white flag, getting what you can for some players and crossing fingers for the next superstar in the draft Jack Hughes. yes he is very very good.

I agree. Keep Sid and Geno and trade off the rest. Hopefully every single defensemen we have at this point. Of course no one will touch Jack Johnson’s contract.

Watching this game brought back memories, bad memories of watching those awful teams in the 1980s. You can see it in the missed passes, the plays that don't quite connect, in the lack of effort from some, and in the questionable goal-tending. Everything about this team reeks of mediocrity. Even the broadcasters are dredging up stupid, irrelevant trivia, and BS statistics (reminds me of a Pirate game where the broadcasters just keep talking so that the audience doesn't kill themselves). Mearsy and Errey simply don't know what to say in the face of such God-awful hockey.

I don't blame Sullivan. This team has quit on itself.
