Pens Briefing 11.1

Postby Pghsports on Wed Nov 01, 2006 9:06 am

Nothing. Niether the LA Times or the LA Daily News has anything about the Kings (or Pens) today. The usual suspects, aka the Hamilton Spectator, the Hamilton Record, and the Toronto Star have nothing either. Sorry guys...

In other news, I'm an uncle as of 6:00 this morning 8-)

EDIT: The LA Daily News has an article about Malkin being a link to the Penguins' past, but its an AP article so it's not really theirs.

Being an uncle / aunt is great fun.

For having the penguins, 1st time in LA for awhile, with a good
record and with Sid and Evgeni, no preview articles is
surprising & disappointing.

My guess is that in the actual print versions, the Lakers opening night got most of the coverage.

I heard something about the LA papers not covering hockey as much this year due to costs.

Other than coverage on the Lakers and college football, what else could be important today in the LA sports scene? They don't have an NFL team and the Dodgers ended their season a long time ago.

They didn't sell out the game against the Rangers - reported attendance was 800 seats short of a sell-out, and that was probably an exaggerated number - and now they have Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin coming to town and they don't have any articles to preview this game??

Kings fans should flood them with hate mail.
