maybe it's the time change they didn't have that much time to adjust maybe the whole team is suffering from jet lag or time change lag

Blew the assignment, tripped over Fleury, same difference...
He did'nt trip, he was diving over to cover the rebound, that's Marc-Andres job. His job was to turn and get the stick of Blake, Fleury was'nt impeding that.
No, he tripped.
Watch it again.

I'd like to see more of that physical edge shown just now by Welch.

Don't know if that would be the case with Eaton since he played in the Western Conf last year.

what does Scuderi have against MAF that is like the 3rd time this game it seems like he has tried to take him out. did they have a spat on the plane going to LA? or could he be a victim of bad ice and MAF is going down with him

Uh, he played in Nashville. And anyway, your body adjusts to a three hour difference within a few days. I doubt it's a major factor for highly trained professional athletes, but it can't be ruled out entirely.

Yeah he's all over the place. How many times have we seen him do a takeaway behind the pens net and then start an attack?

Melichar's been hanging around Leclair too much. I'm not sure Melichar is capable of skating and carrying a puck at the same time tonight.

It'd be nice if he'd bury some of his chances every once in a while.

It's great to see that our best player (Crosby) is our hardest worker out there. Should be a great leader for years to come.
Does Malkin seem to be floating out there a little bit? especially on the back check, suck it up Geno!

That line has enough scoring. His play away from the puck more than compensates. Did you see the Malkin goal? Case in point.

No crap he played in Nashville which meant he also played at LA, Anaheim, Phoenix, Dallas, Vancouver, Edmonton, Colorado and Calgary too for a whole bunch of games.

Well, when we're down a goal and he whiffs on a perfect pass through the paint from Crosby, I'd say it'd be nice for him to score.

That was a rather sloppy period.
Twice tonight I've heard Mike Lange say "Joe Melichar makes a great play to bail out his partner Whitney". No kidding, between the two of them it looks like they're playing hot potatoe with a hand grenade.
Sid will tie this game up. Talk about a workhorse. One of those goal-crease passes is going to end up on someones stick.
Penguins had a few scoring chances in that Period. They really need to come out guns blazing, they've gotten smoked at the start of the period twice.
I say a line of Ekman - Talbot - Thorburn would be good to mix it up at the start. Something makeshift to get the attitude right.
