They have a dozen guys that can hit the goalie in the chest every time they shoot the puck, but remove the goalie from the net... nothing.

Kinda helps when you shoot from 30 feet rather than 200 feet like Letang did.

These defensive structure teams always give the Pens fits. Post season is about matchups. This isn’t a great matchup for the pens. Gonna have to grind it out and not make costly turnovers.

It's interesting that everyone talks about scoring ugly goals in the playoffs through net front traffic, putting it to the net and crashing for a rebound. But how did the Pens score all three goals tonight? Off the rush! That seems to be their winning formula and why they don't score on the PP. They need to suck the opponent in, then take the puck away and go quickly to the offense. Of course, it helps to dominate puck possession, but that's not where they score. That helps make the other team less patient when they get a chance in the Pens' zone, because it doesn't come that often, and helps keep the opponents off the scoreboard.

Pens will have the late face-off time, but it is unknown how many games there will be. If the Jackets and Isles both sweep, it would be the only game of the day in Toronto.
