This is true, however, the analytics guys are saying Pittsburgh gave up a 1st for a guy who has been "sub-replacement level" for 3 of his 4 NHL seasons, and a marginal prospect. (In other words....overpayment).

I don't know what I'm more confused about: the 15th overall pick, or Filip Hallander. The fact that both are involved is almost incomprehensible to me. I'm really not trying to be hyperbolic here but I do not understand any aspect of this trade.

I'm sure all are at 6 feet or shorter.

A totally Useless and unnecessary trade that addresses none of the problems with this team and in fact makes our prospect depth weaker so we are in worse shape today than we were yesterday.

POJ is 6'2 163lbs

GMJR must be going for the skinniest bottom pairing in the league trophy.

Why would you think that? Neither of them are playing on Crosby's line, I assume Kapanen will be. It might spell trouble for McCann based on cap space issues.

Everything I have read about Hallander points to him being a bottom six type of guy, I guess the question is whether Lindgren is a 3rd pairing guy, or just roster filler. They weren't going to qualify Rodriques which would have made him an UFA.
