Put Zucker with Sid.

Zucker and Sid were great after we got him. And Jake and Geno also made up the best line in hockey before Jake got hurt. Swapping them makes too much sense though for Sullivan.

I don’t understand why you would even try to force anything on a PK. The flyers had 3 players behind janko, tanev, and tanger. Tanger has to have more awareness and what situation he’s in. Not all tangers fault, tanevs pass was just as bad, but still have some hockey smarts.

The PK was ending and they needed a goal. I have zero problem pushing there. It was an unfortunate play but not wrong in my mind.

I just feel like with how much time was left I’d rather take my chances with killing the penalty and get back to even strength to try to tie it.

It's a weird season for sure, but this is the same product we've seen for awhile now. Something needs to change, and I don't think we're being impatient as fans given how the last couple seasons have trended the wrong way.

Here’s the next problem, if you decide to move on from either letang or geno, what team is going to be willing to take on such a high cap hit given the state of the league is in due to Covid and revenues being down. Teams are going to look to shed money, not take more on.

They were outscored 11-5 but I thought the Pens held the edge in carrying the play. If they can eliminate their mistakes and not get caught up ice, they will be alright. They certainly generated more offense and had more quality chances than they did against Montreal. They just have to start burying them.

There’s a lot of both things being true here. Jarry getting zero help, Jarry could also do better because we have seen him do better.

The same team play that ran Murray out of town, because, you know, he sucked according to groupthink. It remains to be seen if it was a mistake to get rid of a goalie that could perform with the team working ahead of him. Hopefully this team will start playing ahead of Jarry, and hopefully, he will be able to perform to the level that a worthless goalie like Murray could...

Murray has fundamental problems with his game, most glaringly is his glove hand and then anything low on the ice. We can argue if Jarry is the answer but Murray was finally exposed and needed to go.

Worth noting Murray got the win tonight with the non-RTP Senators in his first start against the Canadian-darling Leafs. Not great numbers, but got the job done with the clear mismatch of rosters on paper. Obviously small sample size, but not good optics.

While the Penguins might get a high pick or good prospect in a Malkin or Letang trade, they for sure would have to take back a big contract in return. Think Hornqvist for Matheson with high pick/high prospect coming back as well.

Would need a strong team to lose a top center/d-man, something along the lines of the Blues losing Tarasenko with shoulder surgery. Would that type of big gap, IMO.

You hit the nail right on the head. It’s unfortunate, but we have so many big contracts with little reward.
