Give that guy credit, throwing his head into the boards for the 7th or so power play is gutsy...

Pens are gonna have no one but themselves to blame tonight. Just ridiculously sloppy hockey.

I could be wrong about this, but it looks like O'Brien just lost his footing heading into the boards. I know Thorburn was right on his tail coming around the net and into the corner, but I'm not sure that should've even been called a penalty. I'll wait and see the replay.

First look seemed he was already falling before Throburn slammed him. Wonder if the replay will show differently.

2nd period. Case of road legs happening here. This many penalties is a sign of either being outworked or being lazy. Pens are feeling it now...gotta struggle through this, and help t-bound as much as possible. He'll make the first save, that's it!

Thorburn gets two because O'Brien doesn't know what he's doing out there. The refs really owe us one or two.

Are yinz seriously calling that a dive?
I personally think that a player willingly turning to the boards should be exempt from a boarding call, but that was boarding as it is.

It's still a 2-2 game... if they can get out of the period with a tie, there's plenty of time to regroup and come out strong for the third. Hopefully they'll at least get a couple third period PP attempts.

I'm not saying O'Brien took a dive on that play. I'm just wondering why he wouldn't just continue around the boards when he knows Thorburn is on his back coming around that corner. Thorburn was doing everything he was supposed to be doing, and for whatever reason, O'Brien just decided to stop as if he was going to head back to the middle of the ice.

surprised kunitz falling down didnt end up being a penalty sometime.

Anyone notice the sharks and ducks going to town with the sticks on crosby and malkin. Its like we got a different set of rules for those guys. great thinking nhl.

Whitney did a great job killing that penalty. Unfortunately it was the Ducks penalty .

Crosby was wide open on that post on the PP.

Beauty save by T-bo. Luckily for the Pens, Kunitz was skating like he was trying to cut on the Heinz Field turf.
