He has to be more greedy, take the shot more often. No one besides Gonchar can shoot on that PP, so why try to be cute.

Did you see what Welch said to Gonchar when they announced his 500th?

If I'm reading lips correctly, it was:

"Isn't that your age"?

Although their PP is horrible. Lets not lose sight of the fact that they're playing pretty well 5-on-5. Good effort tonight.

Ekman looks good tonight too.

Orpik with a nice stand-up job one on one.

I gotta say, if there's one thing I can't complain about this year, it's Brooks Orpik.

I was thinking that if there's one thing I can't complain about this year, it's beer. But Brooks Orpik would be right up there, too. :)

Bob Errey...mathematical f'ing genius...

just informed Sidney that the #66 and #21 banners that hang in Mellon Arena add up to #87.

Sidney did his best to laugh it off without punching Bibs in the face.

No, that's how he feels about defense.

It's been driving us crazy watching that in the AHL and everyone just sees his stats and wants him up in Pitt.

I don't know if anyone else saw it, but Colby had a golden opportunity for a turnaround shot. Clear lane, to the left of the goal, right in front. He didn't even look for the shot, he looked for the pass. He passed... play went to the other end of the ice. :(

His confidence needs a shot in the arm.

So far so good. Correct me if I'm wrong, but during 5 on 5 play the puck has been in the Rangers end of the ice for the majority of the time.

Everyone complains Malkin needs to 'step it up' while Crosby is out.

3 Games - 3 Goals?

I'd say that's respectable.

Yeah but hopefully Sid's number goes in the rafters following Lemieux's career path and not Briere's.

Jagr has kept his skate laces gold. No matter what uniform he's in, I love seeing the black and gold on his skates. It's like he keeps a part of being a Penguin with him.

Anyone know if there's actually a significance to him having gold laces?

In all honestly, Tomas might be the person to direct that question to. Considering the depth in which Czch papers cover him, he might have actually read an awnser to that question at one point or another.

nice to see Gonchar get his 500th. Congrats. Hey maybe that's it maybe that's why they force him the puck on the pp, to help him reach that milestone and now that he has they can change and go back to the decent pp they had as the beginning of the the yr. Gonchar got what he needed now the Pens can get what they need and get the pp going agian. HAHA just a mindless thought during break.

They force the puck to Gonchar because he is the designated shooter. Lord knows hardly anyone else wants to or is ready to.
