I've never seen a 5-3 where the two point guys play catch and the three forwards pretty much stand on the goal line yet none of them in front of the net, except of course for the last 6 or so the pens have had.

Good play by MAF keeps them in this game again. Malkin needs to get greedy and force a shot on the PP. Those cross box passes to Whitney are nice, but useless if he's not ready to shoot.

Apparently the play had been blown dead before the puck crossed the line on that rags no goal. That's why they didn't push for the review.

Whitney can't hit the net, period. He's making bonehead passes.

We aren't opening up shooting lanes and we aren't taking available shots.

The PP has be god awful for a week or two and not ONE adjustement has been made by the coaching staff. What gives?

How about using 4 forwards on the PP to change things up?

hey hey now folks they were talking about how Yeo didn't sleep last night b/c of the poor pp and tonight they changed it and had differ. players out together: of course the same if not worse results but Yeo did something just not the right thing. Who would have thought with the great start that the team would miss Crosby so much especially with all the other great talent we have dang Sid get well so and come back obviously our franchise player. :D

Even having Crosby on the PP doesnt improve it at all because the forwards never touch the puck anyways.

Hit the net??? The guy looks like he's gonna poop his pants when the puck comes to him. Like, "what do I do? what do I do?" Talk about deer in the headlights. It almost cracks me up when I see him receive or flub a pass... almost...

Yeah, but supposedly he wasn't good enough on D.

Can't be any worse than some of the goobers we have now.

Sergei Gonchar is really missing Peter Bondra.

I'm not sure there's any rhyme or reason to how this team carrys the puck up ice with the man advantage.

You know what's worse than our power play, watching and listening to Stan Fischler run his mouth. When is he going to be put out to pasture?

Rags just showed the no goal again. The ref DEFINITELY blew the whistl after the puck crossed the line. It should have been a rags goal. Guess who was IN THE NET, BEHIND THE GOAL LINE in front of Fleury, ???

Anyone? Anyone?

Whitney!!! So, there we have it. Our defense sucks, cuz they all really want to be goalies.

Ugh! Was Chris Pronger REALLY this bad when he started in the NHL?

Without a right-handed shot out there it completely shuts down our "threat" on the other side of the ice. Nobody has to defend that space.

Rangers coaching staff on the plane this morning talking to their PK unit:

"Dont waste your time covering a forward. They never touch the puck, they are there for decoration. No need to worry about clearing the crease, nobody stands there. No need to worry about Whitney, he wont shoot and if he does get it he cant hit the open men on the ice. No need to move your feet or turn your head...nobody cuts or moves, nobody slashes towards the net, and nobody drives to the cage with the puck either. What I want you all to do is for every single one of you to stand on the right side of the ice and stand right in front of Gonchar's stick. Power play killed."

If Yeo's plan to fix the PP is to put Army on it, he should be fired.

They sent Letang down (righty) ... opened up the PP, more difficult to defend..

Just looked at the Pens PP stats for the first 7 games (Letang's 7 gp) and the Pens were clicking at a 25% conversion rate on the PP going 11 for 44.
Not sure if this is coincidence or if having the threat of Letang on the PP opened shooting lanes up.

I'm not sure how much Letang played on the PP but do know that his 2 goals came agains the Rags. Anyways a Righty would be nice for the PP.

Well how 'bout a right handed foward to man the point? I just cant get over the fact that ZERO adjustments have been made. It's comical. This is their JOB, their CAREER. You'd think they'd be spending every waking hour or minute sitting in an airplane, hotel room, bus, etc...thinking about how to fix this thing. We dont have any scoring wingers, the only way were gonna score is if we can get PP goals. Kind of a HUGE issue. This is your only way to score and compete with other teams, you MIGHT want to do some brainstorming.

I can stand Cherry better than Fishler. Cherry is all WWF like entertainment and you know it up front. Fischler pretends to be a hockey sage and acts like hes so superior. He's totally arrogant and makes you want to just give him some chin music. Watch his brittle bones shatter lol.
