what can you do, they only call it one way


Honestly, I don't think they would have called it on Ruutu if they puck hadn't gone in.

I don't know if that's true, but I don't think it should be. Outcome shouldn't have any bearing on whether it was a penalty or not.

Agreed, but the rule book doesn't say : if it's a goal a penalty should be given, but if it's not let it go.
All I want is consistency.

I agree, but it does. If he was going to call it a penalty regardless of the outcome, the whistle would have come a lot sooner.

I also thought Ruutu interfered with the defender, not Lehtonen.
