Would be nice if Recchi wasn't out there on the point. He brings nothing to the table there, and got schooled.

too bad it's tied. the pens played one of the best periods of the season and can't come out of it with the lead.
coincidence that the PP moved the puck so well when recchi was in the box and a SH against when he's playing the point?

Sadly, he isn't the Penguins' goalie.
It would have been nice to see him make a big stop there, but when the penalty killers beat the Pens PP unit up ice to create an odd man rush, I can't put it on the goaltender.
You shouldn't be giving up odd-man rushes when you are up a man.

that SH was just horrid...and not because it was an ugly goal, it was not at all...it was horrid because the Pens just lost all the momentum and did what they always seem to do lately...find ways to lose

On the SH goal? Yes he was and they went right after him.

I for one vote new game thread. This is obviously cs6687's fault. Stretch him at the rack! In all honesty, we cannot let one shorthanded goal shut us down. I know i might be *gasp* optomistic, but i honestly think that we can rebound strong, as long as they don't let it get to their heads.
Currently my favorite quote of the day: "(player who just got knocked off their feet) was slowed down by (player)"

I'd rather see a defenseman than Recchi. Whitney and Dupont in the lineup, and Recchi is back there on the point. It's kinda mind boggling, what does Recchi bring (positively) that the other two don't?

i like dupont so far. it very well could be that he was miscast as a minor leaguer. he came from calgary right? haven't they been ridiculously stacked a D in the last 3 years? tough to crack that lineup, even for a pretty good player.

Good to see Staal-Moore-Ouellet creating chances.....so, that will last 2 periods.

I wish we had Roy in this game. I just saw him do battle with Parros in Anaheim. I'm sure this comment won't be popular.
