Peter and Jesse, no Harrah's did not win. PITG Gaming (Don Barden's group) won the license.

Well, I guess my prayer was answered, in that the Fix was averted.
But man, am I stunned.

I still can't figure out this decision. Barden's casino looked nice in the casino but it does very little for the city and nothing for the area it is in. Their give backs to the city were tiny, no temporary casino, the west end bridge is a joke and so is the circle... hate to say it, but they gave it to the black man because he was the only one and it makes them look good giving it to a minority....
this blows..........

I'm guessing the "Fix is in" voters didn't have a majority, and the "IOC is the best plan" voters didn't have the majority either. Much like Ravenstal being elected council president and then unexpectedly moving up to mayor, we are now stuck with Bardo and taxpayer funding for a new arena.

Well guys and gals, those saying pens are done in the burgh, dont give up yet.
Mario is in control of the team and there is a plan B. The good news is that if Plan b is a joke, it will be exposed in the coming days and weeks. Onorato, Rendell and Ravenstal are up to bat. They will have to sleep in the bed they made. just hope they actually made a bed
keep the faith.

if the pens leave and since we prob. won't get a new arena... the city will hit the fan and the only things will be summer concerts and steelers/pirates games.....
