You haven't lived until you've "scrolled through microfilmed newspapers at Carnegie Library."

Spent a full day there once looking up Pittsburgh Pirates (NHL) info.

Sadly, the first thing I thought of was a joke that was dominant at my high school in Arizona. Goes something like this:

Q: Why do our cheerleaders were green and gold?
A: Because red means "stop".

;-)

If thats the case those cheerleaders sure would have been confused. And green would SO clash with red.

Did you also know Boston tried to block the Penguins from switching to black & gold? But Pittsburgh showed that the Pirates NHL team wore B&G so the league allowed the change.

Is Pittsburgh the only city with all their teams wearing the same colors?

I think we are, the only team I can think of would be LA back in the purple and gold days but that doesn't include the dodgers and clippers, which may not have been there but regardless they aren't purple and gold.

That's what I like about Pittsburgh! You could support all the teams at once!
