Gonchar is such a bad-ass thug.

Oh, wait. How many of those 82 PIMS were for roughing/fighting?

Err, nevermind.

ANybody else notice how great Armstrong is at selling the misdirection? He kind of plays up his rookie status and then surprises them. Watch how he will stare down a play and lure opponents to him or into that lane and then he quickly turns the play in another direction.

That is the kind of heads up hockey that creates space for your linemates.

all and all not a bad period... not a great one either...

def agree with you NIN... colby is an animal... i love the way he plays and i think he has some scoring talent as well

TSN has him wired up... was hilarious going through the pregame ritual... whisteling and all kinds of stuff... i want to hear him next time he is standing next to heatly... should be entertaining!

Lets go boys we need to get goin

Orpik checks. but he stinks. Jackman checks. He stinks. Kasper checks. he stinks.

checking <> good defense

Defense is position and angles, not open ice hits.

does that mean when orpick drives his man into the boards... thus his man losing the puck... thats not good d ... or does that not count as a check

I disagree with you here. The defender got a peice of it and put the puck on edge but he didnt move it away. Whitney should have forced a shot on net, you dont get better shooting position then that and sometimes when the puck is on edge its even tougher to stop. You have to at least take a whack at it. Whitney made a rookie move by making a move there right into the other defender. He will learn.
