How did Weinhandl pass through waivers and the Penguins didn't get him?

I wonder if he is talking about Mattias Weinhandl, from the Islanders.

His stats look a lot like Morozov's.

Yes, Matthias Weinhandl. He's never been given a fair shake to play with top line talent in New York. The Penguins will employ slow stiffs like LeClair, Roy, and Endicott but they can't find a spot for guys like Weinhandl... insane.

Blech, Weinhandl is crap. There's a reason all the cellar dwelling teams passed on him. He's as worthless as Rita.

Hockeynut - You think Weinhandl is less of a hockey player than the scum on the Pens roster? The worst team for 3-4 years in a row? I think Weinhandl is better suited to play on the first line than Colby Armstrong.

This team doesn't need another average forward. Even if he is better than most of the current forwards, that doesn't make him good.

good for Patrick that he passed on this guy.
We have way too many meaningless players as it is now. He would only be another of them.

He's probably better than some of our current players, but why add another guy who can't put the puck in the net and has never lived up to expectations? He's 26 years old and would do nothing to improve this team long term.
