If npv was indeed handing out items of some sort (since he was the scientist), would he be more likely to give one to a good guy or a fellow bad guy? That is the question. Did canaan get a package a long time ago that prevented him from being killed once? I know you probably can't answer that. I'm just talking to myself.

Day 13

Everyone was tense. There were only a few of us left now and we knew that our next decision would most likely be the most important we had made since ending up on this god forsaken island.

Azkar had been acting a bit funny all morning and when he revealed he wasn't wearing any underpants, that was the final straw. Corvidae & canaan poured several cans of Dharma brand beer [left from the stash in the van] all over Azkar and sdm lit an arrow and aimed his bow (where he got that, I have no idea). And, bam, just like that, Azkar went up in flames.

We noticed something odd as he burned - he seemed to be wearing something else under his clothes... Was it? Could it be?!

It was a jumpsuit. Because Azkar was a Dharma Scientist (and new leader).

Epilogue

And so it ends. The great conflict which claimed so many lives is over. Some deserved death. Some did not. Either way, they all died... many at our own hands. There may be a lesson in all of this, but it is unclear to me. I am simply grateful to be alive.

Though we have abandonned all hope of rescue, it is clear to me that we are here for a reason. I just don't know what that reason is. So ends this tale of death and deception. If you are reading this, then you too have come to be on this island. Take heed, for much is not what it seems.

I closed the book and stared in wonderment... clearly these people had been through utter hell. I could only hope that my time on this island would pass less painfully than theirs.
