At the foot of Little Big Horn, what came to be known as the "slaughter pen", there was a particular soldier, barely recognizable to the human eye.

Little Round Top. Foot of LRT was Devil's Den. Lots of Confederate dead in Devil's Den.

The fog was starting to lift over Gettysburg this morning. Day 3 of the infamous battle ready to start. Union generals on Little Big Top notice a Confederate soldier who lay dead inside Devil's Den.
Upon sending a scout out to survey the destruction, he notices a note in the soldier's pocket.
It reads:
Dear Mom,
So sorry for having to do this to you, but if you are receiving it, I have passed on. You know I am in heaven now. Tell everyone I love them.
