Colby signs a baby?

Just curious if anybody caught the Colby Armstrong show yesterday with Madden... during it Madden asked what was the craziest thing a fan wanted him to sign... he said a baby... down in WBS... he said those fans are nuts...

I laughed for about 10 minutes straight, couldnt imagine a mother/father asking Colby to sign their baby... but I guess it happens...

I have never been to a WBS game, am trying to get to one next time they come to Albany, or maybe meet a friend down in WBS... are tickets hard to come by in WBS... I know in Albany they are 10 bucks a tix and they may pay you to go to the game haha....

just curious about the atmoshpere and such...

He's right. It is a crazy atmosphere. The building seats 8500 and Wilkes-Barre sold out 39 of 40 games 2 years ago. Most games have very few empty seats. The fans are fanatic about the team and you will have a very tough time getting to the tunnel where the players come out for warmup.

Sounsd like a blast... I am definately goign to get to a game in Albany.... I would love to head down to WBS... would get tickets ahead of time.... I will have to call my buddy up to see when he is free...

any good games coming up that would be great competition?

The games that are the biggest rivalries are Binghamton, Hershey, and Philly. Hershey has the best record of the bunch, but brings along some very obnoxious fans (think Maple Leafs fans in Pittsburgh). Norfolk is the other team who the Pens are trying to beat for the #1 seed in the conference. Any of those 4 teams make for an entertaining game usually.

I've been to quite a few away WBS pens games and there is a very different atmosphere in WBS compared to a lot of the other AHL cities, although I can't speak for Albany. I haven't been there.

Thanks for your help Easton... will keep that in mind... Binghampton is only a few short hours from here... may eye a game up there as well! Much more affordable then the NHL... haha...

should be enjoyable! Will let you know what I think about Albany games... if its worth a long weekend trip or anything... my gut says no... not a lot to do around Albany anyways... although Saratoga is a short drive away... and it can be entertaining!

fourtKnox, I was listening to the WBS game in Binghamton tonight and thought you would enjoy this quote during the intermission interview.

It was with D Curtiss Patrick (Glenn's son and Craig's nephew), who plays part-time for the WBS Pens, where he said:
"Because of my family's involvement in hockey, I've been in a lot of rinks from the ECHL, AHL, and NHL. Wilkes-Barre is one of the, if not THE, loudest building I've been in, especially at playoff time."

If you get a chance, make the trip down here! You'll be glad you did.

They probably took the kid home and placed it in from of the TV so that it couls raise it.

Need a license to fish... but any fool can have a kid.
