How good is this Filewich, Nilsson and Schremp line?

I listened to tonight's game, these guys sound great.

Even seems like they are awakening Lannon a bit.

Penner sounded shakey. That last Pecker goal sounded as if he misplayed it.

I hate to say the line is perfect, but it theoretically is.

Filewich is a power forward. He forechecks well, plays the puck off the boards and has a good shot. His goal tonight was a fluke (off his shinpad), but is a result of going to the net.

Schremp is the fancy guy who can stickhandle with the best of them and create space for himself or draw a double-team so that one of the other 2 is open.

Nilsson is a playmaker who has played on top 2 lines in the NHL (although that was only with the Isles) as shown by his 3 assists, 2 of them primaries and one of those 2 was the bankshot off of Filly. He was the single toughest player going against Wilkes-Barre in the Bridgeport playoff series last year. Without him, that series wouldn't have gone 7 games.

All 3 of them project to be top 6 forwards in the NHL and you know it's good when Schremp, although being the most talented, is the weak link due to it being his rookie pro year.

As for Penner, he's inconsistent and maybe worried about being demoted.

Is Filewich that good a prospect? Would you rate him as having more or less potential than Eric Christensen at that stage in his career? (I know they are different types of players).

I would say that they have similar potential. Both could become 2nd line forwards/1st line on a bad team.

Filewich is going to earn his spot by his board work, defense, PK, and crashing the net. Think Ryan Malone when you think of Filly's potential. Filewich could become the player that we all hoped Malone would become. He won't win any scoring titles at the NHL level, but will contribute probably 20ish goals and 50-60 points in the NHL.

Christensen would get his spot because of that lethal wrister. He has the potential to score 4 goals in a game, but can also disappear if a physical defensive scheme is put against him. He loves breakaways and playing off the half-boards like Jagr and Kovalev did on the PP back in the day.
