The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have signed forward Kyle Rank to an American Hockey League contract, it was announced on Monday.

I was just about to post the same thing.

Now there are only 2 forward spots needing to be filled. One may be filled by signing Connor James (RFA) to an offer for this year.

Expect at least 2 more signings like this for depth.

This looks like a very solid AHL signing. He'll probably be a checking center which is fine.

That's what I'm wondering. Dixon fills that role at the moment for the Baby Pens, but he may take one of the wing spots on that line, like Stone has done this year when he was healthy.

He did lead his college team in scoring this past year which makes me wonder what his role is.
