The Baby Penguins were swept by the Albany River Rats tonight in their first round playoff series.
WBS lost by 1 goal in each game (tonights game was 5-3 with an EN) and were without their money goalie in Thiessen and their number 1 defensemen in Lovejoy. Play was pretty even for most of the series but WBS top scorer Dustin Jeffrey and leading goal scorer Tim Wallace were both shutout in the series and that was the difference. Their best players weren't their best players.
Eric "Big Dog" Tangradi had a good series and according to WBS expert Eric Politowski he had his best game of his season in game 4. He even scored a goal that was incorrectly waived off by joke of referee Nygel Pelletier in game 4.
My question (and to keep it from becoming NPR) is who are your choices for the Black Aces squad?
I have to think Tangradi, Lovejoy, and Thiessen are locks as well as Conner and Letestu. Johnson had a great series and could be an option as well.
Jeffrey faded down the stretch so I do not know if he has earned it. Wallace could be another choice despite his poor series. Thoughts?
