Phish fans, I enjoy phish, but some of the fans need to move on. I can't stand the people that get upset and argue about how the band has changed and when they saw them recently, they didn't play the song the way they did in '95 or whatever. Sooooo annoying, I don't know why these people even goto the shows if all they do is complain. If you are just getting into them, forget it, they've been listening to them since the 80's and that makes them authority of the band, I mean can't you just relax and enjoy the incredible talent these musicians have I really can't stand these no good dirty granolas.

Well said. I saw a DMB and Friends show with Trey and I got a taste of Phish fans first hand. Didn't care for them at all, they are a unique group.

Metalheads. Some are just completely ignorant and would in no way appreciate anything else or understand people liking something else. Like the power/death metal people who are like "OMG those guys can't even play fast they're not good musicians."

Also, the nu-metal fans listening to nothing else. A friend who's a Korn fanatic actually said he could in no way go to a concert with a band playing mostly slow songs, how could anyone enjoy that? He has dreads. He's also said his problem with Metallica was they're not up tempo enough. Mmkay. Oh, he's also said the nu-metal genre is hardest to mock. Mmkay again.

Edit: For you fellow Swedes: Lars Winnerbäck fans. He's got some good songs, for sure, but I don't get the fanatics. A friend of mine thought I killed a party once with a Rage Against the Machine song while he kept playing Winnerbäck.

Well we've got all genres covered I'd say, and export alot of pop/rock. The Metal is strong here, however, as you say. Bruce Dickinsson actually said in an English (I think) magazine the Swdish fans were the best/special. Don't know what's up with that. Norway especially has tons of death and black metal.

I am a huge DMB fan, have been so since about 94, and I agree their fans are the most annoying. Its not really the die-hard DMB fans that are the most annoying to me though, its the ones that go to the concerts because it is the "cool" thing to do. I go to the DMB shows in Pittsburgh every year, and every year I would sit in the lawn because a group of 20 of us or so would go together, and that was the only way we could all watch the concert together. Well this year my finance and I sat in the pavilion, and let me tell you, I will never sit in the lawn again. The pavilion was awesome, laid back, everyone having a good time, etc. The lawn during DMB is like one big underage fraternity party. I can't remember a time where I sat in the lawn during a DMB concert where I didnt witness fights, puking, and beer getting spilled all over people. It makes me ashamed sometimes to admit that I love DMB, because of how obnoxious their fans can be. But I do love their music.

I will agree with you here, but in three different ways.

1) The average joe musician friend you might have who listens to a band they like and just don't shut up about progressions/key changes/whatever. Yeah, that gets really annoying. I got into a really heated argument in a music class once because this kid who played an acoustic guitar wouldn't shut up about how musically talented Dave Matthews is and blah blah blah. I ended the argument with "well, if he makes such challenging music, how is that everyone learns how to play his songs first when they learn the guitar?"

2) Bands, in interviews, that list their influences as any of "The Beatles, Metallica, or Led Zepplin"

3) People who get mad at, and or don't take seriously anymore, bands that don't list any of those three as influences.
