From the PG:
Gov. Ed Rendell, who will face former Steeler Lynn Swann in November, strolled with Allegheny County Chief Executive Dan Onorato, a fellow Democrat.
As the governor walked by, some parade-goers chanted "Let's go Pens!" Isle of Capri Casinos Inc. has promised a new arena for the Penguins if it wins a Pittsburgh casino license from the state Gaming Control Board. Without an arena, the team's future in the city looks grim. Mr. Rendell hasn't voiced public support for any specific casino plan.
"Give the Pens a new arena," one woman shouted at him.
