"DETROIT, Michigan (AP) -- A lawyer said he plans a lawsuit over the death of a woman whose young son called 911 to report she had collapsed, only to be told he shouldn't be playing on the phone."

You can just picture the kid wondering if he should call back again. You wonder what he was doing for that 3 hours. Was he sitting with her? Asking her to wake up?

Life sucks and then 911 blows you off...

What on earth were they thinking. You take every call seriously, even if you're 99.9% sure its a joke. Thats just plain asinine. You know you're gonna get fired if it is for real and you ignore it. If you take it seriously and it is a joke, at least you did your job, and you made an attempt to help someone.

These are the types of cases that I am glad our justice system will reward that young boy will a huge multi-million dollar lawsuit.

Those are the kinds of cases in which I regret our "justice" system has no provision for serious punishment. I suggest we revisit proportionality in our definitions of "cruel and unusual". :x

And of course, the taxpayers will pay, and not the blankety-blank unprintable family-board family-board guzzling censored.

A 911 dispatcher was reprimanded for responding to a mother’s plea for help with an unruly child by saying: “OK. Do you want us to come over to shoot her?â€￾
