Parking in the Southside

For all you Pittsburghers, I'm taking my little sister to a concert in the Southside tonight at the Rex Theater and I was wondering if any of you knew if they are any parking garages or anything around besides onstreet parking? I never really get to go down there and when I do, I take the bus. Any help is appreciated!

No garages or real lots near the Rex. The Rex is in the 1600 block. There is a lot at the corner of Carson and 18th, and a lot one block below Carson on 18th, but both are TINY! You could also park in the Giant Eagle lot but that is around 20th and 3 blocks below Carson (7 blocks away total).

I got robbed down there two weeks ago. If you're parking on the streets above Carson - (jane, ect.) Hide any valuables you might have. In fact, I would recommend parking as close to Carson as you can, if not ON carson.
