I do agree with that. 90% of the games are crap. And another 5% are ok.
I just love the 5% that are great games. And I truly think they are great and a ton of fun. And a part of it is the nostalgic factor for me, the Marios, Metroids, Zeldas, etc. That is why I enjoy it so much. And I just pretty much stick with those games.
I just dont' have the time I used to to really play a ton of games, so that small selection of games keeps me happy.
I totally understand why people that like to play more "mature" and seirous games with better graphics hate the Wii. It's not built for it. I would hope that going forward, Nintendo can revaluate itself like you said, have the hardware advances and open up it's gaming options, but that is just something Nintendo has never done. So I'm not expecting it.
But for me, the nostalgic factor and those gaming franchises keep me happy.
