We got Gypsy Jr. Minecraft for the PC for Christmas. Easily the best $27 I've spent on a game, and I haven't even played it yet. :lol: He won't let me near it, lol.

Really, endless amounts of stuff for a six year old (and older) to do...

My boys really like it. We got it for their new tablets.

I think walking dead is only 30$ if you buy the disk not 60$.

If anyone wants the PC version of that game, it's currently on sale on Steam for $12.49.

Just started Darksiders. Not bad so far... definitely a GoW clone. Also been playing through the DS remake of FFIV. And to round things out, been playing through Zelda Oracle of Seasons (with Oracle of Ages to follow).

Last week on the 28th you could get all 5 parts as a digital download via the X-Box 360 Marketplace for $10.00(800 points). I ended up getting it that way instead and returned the still sealed disc copy I got when that version was released.

Ug ug ug. I forgot about this part in Oracle of Seasons... there is a moving crystal behind some barriers and you have to guide the magic boomerang around those corners into it... it's is nearly impossible to pull off on my game pad. Beyond frustrating.

Does anyone play any basketball video game? I've always kinda liked BB games, though I am not a big BB fan in general. But I've been playing NBA Jam: On Fire now and it's so fun, it made me think of getting a real BB game of some kind.

I tried NBA 2K13 and it felt really sluggish and not exactly what I'm looking for.

I love the arcade style basketball games like NBA Jam, hate the ones that actually try and simulate the real thing.

Yup. I have a problem with a lot of these sports games that try to be realistic, in general. Tennis games are the worst. I love tennis so much and would love to find a game, but I tried them all and I have not found one that I liked. I don't need realism. I need fun.

I used to play NBA Live on PS2, which I thought were some of the best playing basketball games on the newer consoles (NBA Jam and Double Dribble are my top 2).

I got tired of basketball/NBA round NBA Live 06/07. They were really clunky, IMO, compared to the PS2 versions.

NBA Jam (basketball), Ken Griffey Jr baseball (baseball), Tecmo Bowl/Blitz (football), and NHL 94/Blades of Steel (hockey) are my favorite games for sports.

FiFA Street/FIFA 98 and 99 are my favorite soccer games.

Tecmo Bowl frustrates me, but still fun. Blitz is my favorite overall football game. Though NFL Xtreme was pretty sweet.

NHL Breakaway 98 has probably the most game time I have ever put into a single game. I could/would play that game for hours on end growing up. I honestly miss that game.

Dude that honestly sucks. That game has a slow build but once it has legs it is extremely fun. Discs having a change of becoming damaged so easily is a big reason I don't play xbox much/at all.

Really? I never heard of anyone with a PS3 damaging their disk like that.

What I do is play one disk game at a time, so i'll put the disk in and it will sit in there until I'm done with it. If I want a break, I'll play a downloadable game and I sure have a bunch of unplayed ones, still. Plus, it helps if you have 2 PS3s in the house (g/f).

Blu-ray discs have an anti-scratch coding on them because they have a thinner plastic layer covering the data than DVDs. Without it, scratching a blu-ray would be much worse than a dvd.

I would think the xbox would be better protected against that, though. I'll tell you what I do with my ps3. I'll often start a game in the morning and play a little bit, then leave it on pause for half a day becuse I think I'll find time to play soon, but I'll start doing other stuff so the thing is on pause for most of the day, then I'll play a bit before sleep, but I will be in a place I can't save so I'll put it on pause overnight, then do the same the next day and hopefully save and turn it off before sleep the following night. I haven't had a problem with the thing overheating or damage to a disk. Would that be safe with an xbox?

I had NBA Live 95 or 96 that featured Dennis Rodman's hair color changing throughout the season. Pretty cool for a cartridge game. Latrell Sprewell was a beast, too - uh, no pun intended (pre-choking incident).

Bo Jackson is unstoppable in this game as far as I remember.

Oh yeah. You just give him the ball in that game and he runs for a TD like it was child's play.

I saw the 30 for 30 on him the other day. Basically a great athlete but has a what if attached to his career due to his injuries and him playing two sports at once.

good old juice and tecmo bowl freakshow mike singletary have some things to say about bo and his supposed dominance... oh and on the other side of the ball on that team is sweetness
